If I were to make a video what would be the steps to do it?
This would be like my first video, so help would be appreciated :)

I would record a demo using fraps?
Then put that into Sony Vegas and edit it?
Then upload it?

Record demoname in console.
Use startmovie/stop movie to get all the clips.
Use virtual dub to stream all the clips and sound together.
Add video effects.

That is if you want it to be really high quality.

Startmove moviename in console will basically take a screen shot of every frame. These are all dumped into your cstrike folder. Use the command right before you are at the part you want. Then when you have all you want just type stopmovie and it will stop. Then with Virtual Dub you browse to your cstrike folder and locate the very first screen shot of the movie. It then streams them all together into one long slide show that will look like a very high quality movie. The audio for it is saved as a separate file and if I am remembering correctly Virtual Dub lets you add that in too. Then just add some video effects and convert it into the correct format to upload. No need for fraps and you have a pretty nice looking movie.

I could be wrong at some parts because this is just out of memory from what I read somewhere. I'm sure googling some of the applications would help.

Iirc the best way to do this is record a demo then do the startmovie thing with your settings at max so the video comes out real nice. Lag won't matter since it's just taking screenshots.

Then like Deception said just virtual dub and string it together.
