Our data center, who is one of the leading providers of DDoS mitigation in the industry, has spent the last couple of days making significant changes to their technology to mitigate the different types of attacks. With every change and successful filter, the attacker restructures the attack rendering the filtering useless. We have finally been able to keep the attack at bay without banning legitimate users. Our services should remain online without any further problems. If we receive another type of attack, we may experience downtime while new technology is implemented to stop it.
We will implement an entirely separate technology to deal with the attack if this current transparent method is not successful. This separate technology is proven to stop 99.9% of attacks; however, it will require an active input from each user prior to connecting to any Enhanced Aim service.
We appreciate your patience in this matter. If you have any concrete evidence identifying the attacker, please send an email to ddos@enhancedaim.com
Denial of service attacks are outlawed and punishable by law with up to 10 years of federal prison time per offense.

I'm sure what ever we need to do will be a small price to pay for enjoying EA.

I Hate Yuo myg0t too much
Greg King, a hacker, pleaded guilty to doing DDoS against myg0t and some other sites around 2004.
Eventually, Greg said he would suspend the DDoS assault if officials posted an apology for "myg0t being the asses we are."
Surely a few hours of downtime is worth 10 years in prison.

We have implemented the separate technology. Every 12 hours you will be required to visit the website and secure your connection in order to access any Enhanced Aim service including H.I.V.
Only extremely sophisticated bots will be able to break through this technology, so we shouldn't have anymore downtime.

You may need to connect to the website more than that depending on your connection, but yes the normal session lasts 12 hours.

this is just a simple visual representation for those that do not quite know what a Denial of Service Attack is.

glad you guys are still able to keep the site & service running. ddos attacks are usually really hard to mitigate especially since it seems like the ones hitting EA are quite complicated as it is. from personal experience i know it isn't easy or cheap, so gj on everything and hopefully can catch the bastard doing all this.

Thanks for the hard work to keep the site and H.I.V up and running. It's why I will always be a supporter of EA!

The 12 hour system is a small price to pay, for being stable.
Good job ;)
